I designed a pendant for a necklace that holds a special meaning to me. It features a woman from one of my grandfather's paintings. My grandfather was an artist, and I wanted to bring more attention to his art, so I selected an element from one of his paintings for this piece. The pendant captures the essence of the woman's beauty and elegance. I have created more items, including two sculptures featuring the same woman. Each sculpture is unique in its own way, capturing different angles and expressions of the woman's face and body. One sculpture portrays her in a serene and contemplative pose, while the other depicts her in a more dynamic and energetic stance.
AESOP
For our stand design project for Aesop, my inspiration drew from the essence of natural elements, particularly utilizing materials like plaster and copper. The brief outlined specific requirements: ample space for meetings, a reception desk, and a washbasin for product testing. With these guidelines in mind, I envisioned a design centered around a striking copper steel frame, offering glimpses of the interior to intrigue passersby.
DYSON
For my second stand project, focusing on Dyson, I conducted thorough research into the brand's identity and design language. One prominent element I discovered was a distinct form often seen in their products and branding. I chose to incorporate this form as the foundation of the stand. Utilizing advanced fabrication techniques, I had the form milled into 10 layers, meticulously assembled to achieve the desired height. To refine the base, I meticulously filled and smoothed any imperfections, ensuring a flawless finish.
JFK
For my first project with JFK Magazine, I focused on designing a stand for an event. After analyzing their brand identity, which featured black, white, and gray colors, I opted for a sleek black exterior and a shimmering silver interior. This contrast created a captivating effect, drawing people in to explore further. The exterior's sophistication aligned with the magazine's image, while the silver interior conveyed modernity and refinement. Inside, ample space was allocated for showcasing the magazine's content through various mediums. Additionally, designated areas were included for meetings and discussions, facilitating engagement with visitors. Overall, the stand aimed to encapsulate JFK Magazine's brand essence and provide an inviting space for attendees to interact with their content.
DUTCH DENIM DAYS
For my final exam project, I created a striking light object, focusing on the concept of quality and longevity. Inspired by denim's natural origins, I chose high-quality steel and wood as primary materials. The revised design features the original logo, ensuring authenticity and brand alignment. Emphasizing durability, the materials selected mirror denim's enduring nature. Through meticulous craftsmanship, I crafted a timeless piece meant to last. The fusion of steel and wood echoes denim's timeless appeal and daily utility. Quality remains paramount in every aspect of the design process. The light object serves as both a functional fixture and an aesthetic centerpiece. Overall, the project embodies the essence of longevity, craftsmanship, and brand integrity.
